With the first few weeks of the semester over, career events are rolling out strong. The Office of Career Management has a dozen events lined up to help students look for career opportunities and get in touch with employers.

Here are three highlighted events coming up for all majors to attend:

“Launching LinkedIn Profiles”

Managing your professional online presence can be challenging. With so many applications and scouting being done online, it is incredibly important to keep your profiles up to date. On September 9th, from 12:30-1:30 PM, there will be a LinkedIn workshop to complete or brush up on your profile. Located in the George, room 110.

“Internship Info Session”

Internships and networking are necessary in college, and the Advisement and Career Enrichment Services (ACES) has an event to help. ACES works with dozens of companies and non-profits in the area to set students up for success post-graduation. Want to learn more about what internship opportunities are available to you? Then stop by the George, room 110 on September 12th from 3:30-4:30 PM to learn more.

“Global Career Forum”

This is the biggest career fair all semester, with dozens of employers attending. There will be opportunities to network with established companies, and a panel with accomplished alumni. At the end of the event, there will be a raffle for five passport scholarships, and one $2,500 travel abroad scholarship. Taking place Wednesday, September 18th, in the University Readiness Center from 1-4 PM.

Business casual attire is recommended. Follow the link attached to register: https://uscupstate.edu/academics/academic-centers-and-services/career-development/
