Students in a Sports Journalism class were asked to make their Super Bowl LV picks.

BY OLLA ISKANDER

Super Bowl LV will be played Sunday between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., at 6:50 p.m. The Chiefs’ 16-2 overall record is better than the Bucs’ 14-5 record. However, the Buccaneers have the home field advantage.

I think the Kansas City Chiefs will win and quarterback Patrick Mahomes will be the difference in this game. Kansas City Chiefs 56, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 46

Super Bowl LV will be the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

The Buccaneers finished third in the National Football Conference South Division, 11-5. The Chiefs won the American Football Conference West Division, 14-2. The Kansas City Chiefs have this one in the bag because of quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who averaged 399.5 passing yards per game.

Super Bowl LV between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs will be played Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. It is one the most highly anticipated Super Bowls in recent memory with Tampa Bay quarterback Tom Brady making his 10th Super Bowl appearance and it is the first time in NFL history that the game is being played in a competing team’s home stadium.

Brady is looking for his seventh Super Bowl victory. Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City is too good to be stopped right now and his main weapons, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill, are too big of matchup problems for Tampa Bay to handle.

While people say it is crazy to bet against Brady, and it might be considering his history, I believe the Chiefs will be too much to handle. I don’t believe the Buccaneers have enough defense to stop the high-powered Kansas City offense.

The Kansas City Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Sunday’s Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Fla. The game is at 6:30 p.m. in Raymond James Stadium.

Tampa Bay is expected to come out with a big win over the Chiefs. Tom Brady is expected to lead Tampa Bay to victory. He has six Super Bowl rings. Brady last accomplished winning back-to-back Super Bowls with the New England Patriots after the ’03 and ’04 seasons. There may be a difference in having Brady on your team.

BY BROOKS HAWKINS The two teams in this year’s Super Bowl are the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. AKA the Chiefs vs. Pewter Pirates. The game takes place Sunday at 6:30 p.m. in Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. The winner of Super Bowl LV gives the winning team bragging rights over the rest of the league. I predict Kansas City to win because the Chiefs’ record (16-2) is better than the Buccaneers (14-5). The Chiefs had more first downs, 397-364, than the Bucs. The Chiefs impact players are star quarterback Patrick Mahomes, 2018 MVP, and nearly unstoppable wide receiver Tyreek Hill, aka the cheetah because of his amazing speed. Super Bowl LV will be played on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers playing the Kansas City Chiefs. Game time is 6:30 p.m.

Kansas City's Tyreek Hill is considered one of the best NFL wide receivers over the past few seasons. “Hill had what was the best game of his career (vs. Green Bay), he went off for 269 yards and three scores on 13 touches through the air, and no one in Tampa Bay's secondary could contain him,” according to CBSS Sports.

Super Bowl LV will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. Defending champions Kansas City Chiefs with Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet to with the winner to be crowned champions of the National Football League.

The Kansas City Chiefs are going to win this game because they are the most talented team in football with a head coach, Andy Reid, who is not afraid to win. Mahomes will have a modest game but will ride the back of Travis Kelce who will be the Super Bowl MVP. L’Jarius Sneed will win Defensive MVP with a pair of tackles for loss and a pick. The NFL Super Bowl LV is Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Fla., between last year’s champions the Kansas City Chiefs versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Headlining the game’s marquee is the Bucs’ Tom Brady trying to win his seventh Super Bowl ring and the Chiefs trying to win their second consecutive championship.

The Chiefs beat the Bucs in week 12. However the Buccaneers have improved since, and so have the Chiefs.

The Kansas City Chiefs play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV on Sunday with kickoff at 6:30 p.m. at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

The Buccaneers will be the first team in history to play the Super Bowl in their home stadium. Tampa Bay is designated the home team because conferences that that designation each year. Kansas City was the home team in 2020.

The Kansas City Chiefs are favored to win the Super Bowl’s Lombardi Trophy. The Super Bowl opening line started at Chiefs -3 with an over/under of 57.5 points, and I took the Chiefs and the under. It’s the highest totaled Super Bowl ever.

The Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers play Sunday in Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Fla., at Raymond James Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

Kansas City is this year’s favorite to win the Lombardi Trophy over Tampa Bay because in Week 12, the Chiefs beat the Buccaneers, 27-24. The team that won the regular season game has gone 6-7 in the Super Bowl rematch. No AFC teams have ever beaten an NFC team twice in one season.

BY JOSH WOODS The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play in the NFL Super Bowl LV game Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The game will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla.

The reason I pick the Kansas City Chiefs to win is because they have one of the best offenses in football. Players like Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill is what makes the Chiefs’ offense so great. Although they have these great players it’s not going to be easy going against Tom Brady, Tampa Bay quarterback who is playing in his 10th Super Bowl. He has won six.

Super Bowl LV is highly anticipated after a drought of athletic competition due to COVID-19.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs will face off at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla. on Sunday. The Super Bowl is particularly significant because it will be played amidst a global pandemic – meaning there will restrictions in place to ensure player and fan safety.

Although I am unfamiliar with both teams, their record, and players, I am choosing the Bucs to win as they have the home field advantage. They likely will have a large gathering of fans at the stadium and outside it. As an athlete, I can recognize how the home team advantage is a factor in competition, however, it is also just as sweet to beat a team on their own turf, so I am not completely ruling out the Chiefs.

BY ALAINA RIDINGS

It’s time for the 55th Super Bowl. While this past year has been unpredictable, my prediction is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will win. Tom Brady, who is considered the best quarterback of all time, has already won six Super Bowls.

He is a very reliable player when it comes to high-pressure situations and leads his team to big victories.
